Romeo And Juliet by William Shakespeare

      Rivalry, which is something that intends to keep people apart, is what brought Romeo and Juliet together in the play Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare. Rivalry, which is made up of hatred and disgust led to the love of Romeo and Juliet. Their love was so strong that with all the hatred around them they still found ways to be together. Their love helped them recognize their independence, and because of their love they gave up their identities as Capulet and Montagues. The rivalry between their families is the reason why their love was so strong, because they fought for it to last.
      In the play, the rivalry between their parents were supposed to keep them apart, but is what brought them together and was so strong. When Romeo met Juliet at the party, he was disinterested in the fact that she was the only daughter of the Capulets, his parents' enemy, Because he fell in love with her at first sight. At that first sight, he knew that he loved her, so much that he was willing to do anything, and as their relation grew juliet realized the same. Their love was so strong, that they were ready to give up their identity as Capulet and Montagues and create new identities as lovers. As Juliet said in Act 2 Scene 2 Lines " What's in a name? That which we call a rose by any other word, would smell as sweet." They both gave up their identities because they thought it was absurd that because of their names they could not be together, so they tried to erased it all. They grew closer to each other because of the rivalry.
      Juliet was independent, she was obedience to her parents, and she didn't know what love was. She went along with everything her parents say. For example in the scene where she is asked if she is willing to marry paris she says in Act 1 Scene 4 Lines 103-105 " I'll look to like, if looking like move./ But no more deep will i endart mine eye than your consent gives strength to make it fly."  Juliet's parents always wanted the best for her and their family but they never asked her what she wanted. Her parents built her life by doing things that they think will make her happy but not doing things that they know that will make her happy. Her parents were controlling her life not her. After Romeo had entered her life, instead of obedience came hatred and instead being dependent she became independent.One example that shows this is in the scene where she was insubordinate against her father Capulet she bawled " Not proud you have, but thankful that you have./ Proud can I never be of what i hate, but thankful even for hate that is meant love." In  Act 3 Scene 5 Lines 151-153. Her love for Romeo gave she the strenght and courage to stand up herself, she rebelled against her parents for what she knew that will keep her happy. The rivalry between their families helped to grow their love and from that love Juliet gained independence.
      The rivalry of their families surrounded them in hate, but even with them knowing that their relationship is most likely going to be disapproved, as you can see as Tybalt said in Act 1 Scene ! Lines 71-72 " What, drawn and talk if peace? I hate the word as i hate hell, all Montagues, and thee." Knowing this they managed to keep their love intacted by doing everything they can, which later ended in their deaths. The rivalry between their parents pushed them to fight for their love, which brought them closer together.
      In conclusion, the rivalry between their families caused Romeo and Juliet to cause such events that helped them achieve independence and the approval for their love. Events like running away to get married and what occurred at their death bed, helped them gain that approval. Romeo and Juliet's love story was influenced by the rivalry of their parents, and as it ends " For never was a story of more woe than this of Juliet and her Romeo." Act 5 Scene 3 Lines 320-321.

I am reading stargirl by Jerry Spineille. In this book there is a girl named stargirl. She is the new student in the school. To the characters in this book she is really weird and unique, but I would say that she is very nice and interesting. 
She can feel other peoples personal feeling without knowing them. Like the time when stargirl went to hotseat { a game show} , and saw Becca she right away knew her feelings that she kept inside. Stargirl understood that Becca doesn’t like to be a winner all the time. 
Would call Stargirl weird because she knew people’s birthday with out knowing them. I know this because at lunch time she would sing Happy Birthday people. Which people might think is weird, but I think that is so nice, taking her own time figuring out their birthday and singing it to them. The only question I have is how? How does she know their birthday? Later on in the book I found out that she gets it from the newspaper and bulletin boards in stores.
Another thing that I like about star girl is that she noticed people that are hardly notice and notices how good they are. Like in a part of the story there was a boy who was called the “ Geek” of the class, and so nobody notices him, so as he was walking down the hall he threw out a candy wrapper, and she actually saw that and cheered for him. I liked that part because I am also a person that doesn’t get that much noticed, like the person in the back of the corner, and so I like it when I do get noticed. I bet that boy did too. 

Stargirl

In the book i am reading Love Stargirl by Jerry Spenillie i have noticed the character Alvina. Alvina parents work, she works in a donuts shop, and she is good at getting at fights. at first i thought she was a bad girl, didn't want to listen to anyone, and she wants to solve everything with fights. Because she would in fights with boys, she shouldn't,t listen to her boss at work, and she fights with boys, if they hit her or gets in trouble with her.
This is what i thought about Alvina, until her baby bro clipped her nail.At first she started to yell and get mad but later she got soft and cried. In most of the books or movies i read or watch has this problem were the kid just wants some love and care, but doesn't get it cuz there parents are busy, and other people stay away because of his/her bad attitude. I think that is what happened to Alvina. she gets in trouble so her parents can notice her.i know this because has soon as Stargirl gave Alvina some kind of affection, Alvina came out of that mean girl, and became herself. this is my inference about Alvina.

It Happended to nancy

At the beginning at the book there was a page telling the reader why the teenager published this book, but i really didn't think it was important, until i finished the book. I mean this girl had to leave this world and suffer when she was doing the right thing, she was following her heart.I still don't get it why Collin would do that to a innocent girl! Maybe it was to let his anger out on something ? Or maybe he had a sister that got AIDS the way Nancy got it, and he got really furious,and didn't really appreciated it so he wanted to spread AIDS to everyone to get revenge on his sister.
I really felt bad for Nancy, she was just trying to find true love, just like any-other girl. She just doing the right thing, following her heart, and i think she believed in Collin way too much,and that is way the incident happened. But when she actually feel in love she found she has AIDS. What luck this girl has.
after i finished this book i realized how much important and meaningful this book is. Books are written for a reason and this was to warn people that people are not always what they appears to be. to get to know a person you need years not days. that is the message that stood out to me.

Society vs government

I am reading the book matched by ally condie. In this book there is something called a society, or what we call a government The society will tell who to love , tell you what to eat ,decide where you should work etc…. the society will basically tell you how to life your life! Which I think is not fair!
If you could pick which government or society you would what I would definitely pick our government because it gives to freedom, it’s your life you can do anything you want, unlike the society who tells you how to life your life, but there is a good to it to.
The good part of the society is that it is keeping everything healthy, like for a person they will tell you what you have to eat and the amount {you don’t make dinner! The society does!} To keep you healthy! They tell you to do this exercise for this amount of time to keep you healthy but matching up boys and girls to have healthy offspring and that you have to die at 80 is totally horrible rules in my eyes but if you look in the society eyes they see a long, non- sickness, healthy and happy life, and what causes this, the society’s rules! Even thought our government doesn’t do all this it does help us by giving us access to gyms, giving us help, professional health trainers etc…
I think it is a totally a ridicules idea to match up boys and girls according to DNA is totally un- healthy for people! What if a girl likes this boy but she gets matched up with another boy that can affect the girl or boy mentally which can lead to depression which can lead to death maybe! But our government allows us to love who we want. It give us that freedom, so we can choose the person we can spend a happy life . I also think it is a ridicules idea that you know you know you are going die at age 80 because who would want to know when they are going to die? Since you know when you are going to die, you can finish what you want in life but also you know you are going to die at age 80 and you are 74 you can just say “ what the use of doing this I just going die anyways”., which can be unhealthy too. Us even thought some of us can know when we might die, but doctors give us hope to life a life and since most of don’t it leaves us with a suspense.

Just Listen

            In the book Just Listen by Sarah Dessen, is about this girl name Annabel she is a model but she doesn’t want to be a model her mom wants her to be a model. Annabel is us to being ignored, since she has two older sisters, Whitney her second older sister has eating disorders and mostly gets all the attention from her parents. Her only friend Sophie left her, and now Annabel has no friends, but then she met the Owen who she never thought she would be friends with. Owen makes her happy, and now she is someone she isn’t invisible. The main idea in the book is that you shouldn’t be afraid to tell the truth and when you do you feel better, like Annabel is afraid to tell the truth to her mom, that she doesn’t want to be a model, and she has to do something that she doesn’t want to do she doesn’t tell the truth she is suffering.

            Annabel told Owen about her what happened between Sophie and her, and when she did she felt so much better, she was honest with him. When Annabel’s mother asked her about school, Annabel didn’t want to say that she has no friends (then Owen and her weren’t friends) and Sophie calls her a whore, and she just hates school. Instead she told her mother something that happened last year ago, her mother doesn’t even know anything about her school life. “The real truth, I realized as the day wore on, was that even though I didn’t hardly knew Owen, I’d actually been more honest with him than anyone else in a long time.” This quote is means that Annabel hadn’t been honest with anyone is a long time, and when she started to be honest with Owen she started to feel better, because she was holding in a lot that she didn’t want to tell her parents because she didn’t want to add more trouble. Also this quote is explaining is that you don’t have to be honest with a person that you know very well, you can be honest with anyone. When you feel comfortable with person the truth just comes out, you don’t have to worry.

            When Annabel told Owen about her modeling and that she doesn’t like it and wants to quit, but she can’t tell her mom she said that is felt good letting this out. “When I first walked away from Owen, I felt relieved.” She felt relieved because she said the truth, she was honest and she was starting to express herself and let her feelings out to Owen and she started to feel relieve. She really never had anyone she say the truth to, but when she got Owen has a friend she trusted him and said the truth.

            When Annabel told Owen that she would listen to his show, she did but she wasn’t telling him the truth about what she really thought about it. She was saying “place holders” like interesting; she wasn’t saying that what she actually felt about it.

“Right you’re nice.” Owen said

“What’s wrong with nice.” Annabel said

“Nothing, except it usually involves not telling the truth.” Owen said

Annabel wasn’t saying that she really didn’t like his show; she was being “nice” and being when she was trying to be nice and try not to hurt Owen’s feelings, but while she was trying to not hurt Owen’s feeling she was lying. Like when she was trying not to add trouble to their parents, but she was also lying, she doesn’t want to hurt anyone so she lies, she should say the truth in a nice way. When she mom asked her about school, she could’ve said that that she doesn’t like school since Sophie doesn’t talk with me, but it is okay you don’t have to worry about me. There she would’ve been telling the truth, and her mom wouldn’t worry too much.

            Annabel holds too much in, and when she started to let things out, she started to feel better, because telling the truth is the best thing to do. I think that soon Annabel will tell her mom that she doesn’t want to model anymore, also that she is going to start to fall in love with Owen because she feels really comfortably with him and starts to tell him a lot that she hadn’t tell. The main idea connects with the real world, because there is someone out there that you can feel comfortable, cause there is a lot of people that lie, and this theme is really important because when people lie its bad also you can be hurting someone.  I learned that telling the truth will make me feel better and is the best thing you can do.   

Deadly Little Lies

I have just finished reading the book Deadly Little Lies by Laurie Faria Italarz. It is about a girl named Camelia who fell in love with a boy who can sense the future of that person by touching them, which is called pyscohometry. And as soon as Ben falls for camelia, he is gone, with rumors that he moved. After Ben returns to Camelia little town, Camelia starts to hear echoes of threats,and note saying Shes Dead. Right around when this is happening she meets adam, who soon becomes her boyfriend. But soon she finds out that adam was fake.

While reading this book, a couple things that i thought were confusing were the letters by a girl whose mother perferes her older sister over her. I found this confusing because i couldnt find any connection between camelia and her. Another thing that i found confusing about this book The deadly little lies, which i only found 1 lies. Also the ending of the book was really confusing to me, because you never know what happens to adam, and i just felt like the author just ended up fast.
